A free week for faithful, curious families
Take school outside for seven gentle days.
The 7-Day Childlike Faith Nature School Challenge gives your family one simple way to step outdoors, open Scripture, and follow wonder—without turning childhood into another checklist.
A small daily rhythm
Nothing to prepare ahead. Just open the guide, go where the day takes you, and come back to the table with something to talk about.
What arrives in your inbox
A little more room to notice.
Each day holds a whole, easy invitation—enough direction to get outside, with plenty of room for your family to make it your own.

A fifteen-minute walk, a backyard pause, or even a few minutes on the porch can be enough.
A short KJV Scripture

- 1
Wonder
Psalm 19:1 KJV
“The heavens declare the glory of God.”
Outside together
Step outside together and let each person find one small thing they have never truly noticed before—a curl of bark, a tiny feather, or a patch of light on a leaf.
Notice
What colors, patterns, or sounds do you notice when you slow down?
Talk about it
What do you think this little part of creation tells us about our Creator?
Pray
God, thank You for making a world full of beauty. Help us notice Your care today. Amen.
- 2
Notice
Matthew 6:26 KJV
“Behold the fowls of the air.”
Outside together
Watch birds from a window, porch, or blanket in the yard. Follow one for a minute and see where it goes.
Notice
How does the bird move, eat, rest, or make its home?
Talk about it
Jesus asks us to look at the birds. What might He want us to remember when we feel worried?
Pray
Father, thank You for seeing every small creature and for caring for our family too. Amen.
- 3
Grow
Mark 4:26–28 KJV
“The seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.”
Outside together
Look for something growing: a weed by the driveway, a garden sprout, moss on a stone, or a tree branch reaching toward the sky.
Notice
What signs show that this living thing is growing?
Talk about it
What are some quiet ways God may be growing us, even when we cannot see much happening yet?
Pray
Lord, grow good things in our hearts with Your patient, steady love. Amen.
- 4
Gather
Genesis 1:29 KJV
“I have given you every herb bearing seed.”
Outside together
Gather a small collection from outdoors—a few fallen leaves, smooth stones, seed pods, or herbs from your garden—and arrange them on a tray or table.
Notice
Which pieces feel different in your hands? Which one has the most interesting shape?
Talk about it
How do the gifts of creation help and serve people each day?
Pray
Creator God, thank You for providing what we need and for filling our days with simple gifts. Amen.
- 5
Rest
Psalm 23:2–3 KJV
“He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul.”
Outside together
Find the calmest outdoor spot you can—a shady step, a porch chair, or a blanket beneath a tree—and rest there quietly for five minutes.
Notice
What changes when your body gets still? What gentle sounds can you hear?
Talk about it
What helps each person in our family feel restored and cared for?
Pray
Shepherd God, lead us into Your peace and restore our souls today. Amen.
- 6
Listen
1 Kings 19:12 KJV
“A still small voice.”
Outside together
Take a slow listening walk. Pause three times and let everyone name one sound they hear before moving on.
Notice
Which sounds are close? Which sounds are far away?
Talk about it
Why do you think it can be hard to hear gentle things when life feels loud?
Pray
God, quiet our hearts enough to listen for Your gentle voice. Amen.
- 7
Give Thanks
1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
“In every thing give thanks.”
Outside together
Take a thank-you walk and let each person point out five gifts from God along the way, big or small.
Notice
What gift would you have missed if you had hurried past it?
Talk about it
How does giving thanks change the way we see an ordinary day?
Pray
Thank You, God, for this week, for this family, and for the gifts waiting for us right where we are. Amen.
Come as you are
You don’t need a perfect plan to begin.
Start with one day. Come back next week. Let the ordinary world around you become part of the story God is telling your family.
